Melissa works with businesses across a wide range of industries, from hospitality and service businesses to professional firms and corporate organisations. If you have a client, prospect or referral connected to a business, bring Melissa into the conversation to help identify and explore their group benefit options.

Size and industry don't have to be a barrier. Whether it's a five-employee restaurant or a fifty-employee firm, Melissa can help determine the best options for the business. Don't count out an opportunity simply because the group feels too small or doesn't fit the "typical" benefits client.

Carrier certification comes first

You can't sell this until you've completed carrier certification training. Once you're onboarded the training link arrives within 24 hours. Get that done before you're sitting in front of a business owner.

You book it. Not your client.

The booking form asks for detail about the group — who the business is, what's in place today, what prompted the conversation. That's information only you have.

Book it in your own name, for the time your client appointment is already set. If your client books it instead, Melissa gets a slot with no case behind it and the appointment starts cold.

Partner Your Way

There are three ways to do this. Bring Melissa into the opportunity however it makes the most sense for you.

Make the Introduction

Hand it over and let Melissa take the lead. She runs the pitch, the proposal and the full enrollment process end to end.

Tag Team It

Stay in the room and stay involved. You keep the client relationship; Melissa carries the group benefits side of it.

Learn the Process

Use the opportunity to pick up group benefits alongside her. Watch a few run start to finish and you'll know how to take them yourself.

The 3 step process

What Happens Next

Book the meeting on Melissa's calendar

Pick the slot your client appointment is actually set for — this is the client meeting, not a chat about it beforehand. Fill in every field; it's the whole handover.

Name the meeting

Use this exact format:

[Your first initial]. [Your last name] + [Company name] - Group Benefits

An agent named Jordan Smith booking Acme Co. names it J. Smith + Acme Co. - Group Benefits. Your name goes first.

Always "Group Benefits" — never product names. Your client sees this invitation, so the title stays neutral. What you're actually bringing her goes in the booking form, which only she sees.

Send your client the calendar invitation

With all the right attendees on it — make sure whoever actually decides on HR and payroll is in the room. Confirm they've accepted before the day.
